The North Oldham Fire Department is a career department in Oldham County KY. We operate two stations with a total of 49 employees. One station covers the Goshen/Prospect area of Oldham County. The other station covers the Skylight area along US HWY 42. We provide fire protection 24 hours a day to approximately 47 square miles of Oldham County, along the Ohio River, just north of Louisville KY. Both stations respond to all fire and medical runs in their respective area. Employees are state certified firefighters and emergency medical technicians.
In accordance with KRS-75, the North Oldham Fire Protection District is governed by a 7-member Board of Trustees.
Three are appointed by the County Judge-Executive. Two are property owners elected “at large” and the remaining two positions are held by Firefighters elected by members of the Department. Board meetings are in person meetings. These meetings are open to the public. The next meeting will be Thursday, December 11th at 7pm at the Goshen Fire Station.
